You might not expect an actress who made two early appearances as Thumbelina to end up as a naked molestation victim in a chintzy slasher flick, but that’s precisely the career arc that the shag-worthy Shay Garner took. After two early-’70s kid’s flicks featuring the thumb-sized cutie, Shay took a decade off before returning to bare the bush while being brutalized in Humongous (1982). The Canadian canary also popped up in titles like Hard Feelings (1982) and Bullies (1986) before taking another ten years off. Most recently Shay’s been seen in episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Baywatch Nights, a little older, a lot wiser, and wearing considerably more clothing!
